An intensive study of the estimating process, this course includes types of estimates and estimating procedures; types of construction drawings; reading and interpreting scale drawings; specifications that include state and local building code; calculating and processing bids, quotes, and contracts; and a review of math associated with estimating. Preparation for Refrigerant Recovery Certification

This course uses a blended mix of instructor-led training and hands-on trainer. You will learn solar-electric system design, installation, and safety procedures. Our hands-on solar trainer covers the common steps of a residential solar electric retrofit. You will learn how to work with DC disconnects, inverters, AC disconnects, and load center/service panels to tie in with the utility. Through this course, the students will learn to better understand, prepare, and use government standard documents for construction. Students will learn about invitations to bid, contract documents, general and special provisions, performance and payment bonds, as well as many other aspects of preparing and processing government contracts.
