The course will present the mathematical concepts for solving problems on the SAT math exam. The exam includes the following mathematics topics: Basic Arithmetic, Elementary Algebra, Equations, Word Problems, Geometry, Statistics and Data Interpretation. In addition the course will present methods for identifying types of problems, and strategies for solving them quickly, and correctly. Students must purchase Barron's SAT 30th Edition. During this class students will learn and practice skills to be successful when taking the Reading and Writing section of the SAT. This class will teach test taking strategies, command of evidence, words in context, analysis of history and science, expression of ideas and standard English conventions.
