In this class, students will explore the heights of their imaginations through prose, poetry, graphic novels and more. Students will break down creative writing to its base elements and then use those elements to build something new. Ages: 13-18
Destination Imagination’s purpose is to inspire and equip students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders. Challenges are offered in the areas of STEM, Improv, Visual Arts, Service Learning, and Early Learning. Each Challenge is open-ended and enables student teams to experience the creative process from imagination to innovation. Only Regional and State tournament costs are included in the price. Teams will meet October - May. *Times may vary based on team schedules. Teams forming for grades 1–12 and University Level. Teams will be online until campus reopens.
This class will be an entry to the world of Dungeons & Dragons. Students will learn the rules and mechanics, create their own characters, and explore a world with their teammates. Ages: 11-18
This course will cover PSAT Math exam topics including: Basic Arithmetic, Elementary Algebra, Equations, Word Problems, Geometry, Statistics and Data Interpretation. In addition the course will present methods for identifying types of problems, and strategies for solving them quickly, and correctly. Students must purchase Barron's PSAT Study Guide.
Young leaders from diverse backgrounds and experiences will engage in rigorous, innovative and creative programs designed to foster leadership skills. The institute's goal is to teach students to be effective leaders. 11th and 12th grade students welcome to apply to participate. Certificate of completion presented at conclusion of program.
