Satisfies 29 CFR 1910.178, OSHA's 1998 revised Powered Industrial Truck Operator Training Standard. This course includes both classroom and hands-on training for first-time drivers and individuals needing refresher training. Must be 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license. This module examines the role of supply chain logistics in the economy and in the operations of organizations. Fundamental review and analysis of the components of the supply chain are studied and examined. Topics to be presented and discussed include warehousing and distribution concepts, logistics and transportation concepts, customer service and order process, hands on workshops with bar code data collection systems – virtual warehouse, and explore career opportunities. Possible tours at IKEA, Amazon or Rite Aid distribution center.

Topics to be presented and discussed include facility layout and design, space utilization, order pick pack process, material handling and storage, and operational best practices. Hands on workshops with bar code data collection systems – Virtual Warehouse will be included.
