If you have participated in ballet class or perhaps have not danced in many years, this class is for any level. Gain an understanding of the order of the barre and the basic elements of ballet. Dancers should wear appropriate attire - tights, leotard, and ballet shoes.
This course is a study of beginning jazz dance technique starting with basic jazz warm-up exercises and isolations and followed by jazz locomoter steps and combinations. A variety of jazz styles will be explored.
Over the last century, contemporary dance styles developed out of the structured discipline of Ballet into a more free-flowing dance movement. In this class we will explore concepts such as breathing, choreography, fluid motions, interpreting lyrics, and expressing emotions through movements. This class is for all levels. Dancers should wear clothing in which they can move freely, such as tights and leotard. We dance barefoot or wear ballet or jazz type shoes.
Get fit, have fun, and DANCE! This is a simple, but fast paced cardio and core workout, using authentic bellydance moves. No dance experience required! Already dancing?
